Miles's story
Miles Tauber
Miles found what he was good at early. Working alongside his father in the 1990s, he noticed he never needed a hard sell. He would listen, work out what someone actually needed, and show them a better way forward. Clients still describe him the same way.
He also saw, up close, the money mistakes people around him made, usually driven by emotion rather than evidence, and made a point of not repeating them. Over thirty years he has built and sold businesses and invested in assets of his own, so his advice comes from experience, not theory.
Miles is a husband and a father of two boys. He enjoys the conversations most: sitting down with people, understanding what matters to them, and finding the way forward.
- 1996Enters financial services as the Code of Practice reforms are introduced, in a practice started with his father.
- 2002Founds Nextstep, which grows into a multi-service advice and lending business.
- 2018Nextstep is acquired by a larger firm.
- 2024Founds Vero Private Wealth in North Sydney.
